Colorado College Tigers Host Providence College
The Colorado College Tigers are stepping away from their National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) schedule to face No. 16 Providence College in a non-conference series at Ed Robson Arena. The first game is scheduled for Friday, November 28, at 7 p.m., with live streaming and statistics available on the CC Hockey schedule page.
This season marks the 87th year of varsity ice hockey at Colorado College and the 13th year in the NCHC. Previously, the Tigers were part of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association for over six decades before joining the NCHC in 2013.
In their last outing, the Tigers split a series against 4th-ranked Minnesota Duluth, with a notable victory coming in overtime. Coach Kris Mayotte, in his fifth season, has led the team through significant developments, including the recent addition of 14 newcomers to the roster and Owen Beckner's selection for the prestigious Spengler Cup.
Historically, Providence leads the all-time series with Colorado College. The Tigers are currently ranked sixth nationally in shots per game.
